For more than 25 years of speaker design and manufacturing, Swan knows its customers. Uniting the United States’ cutting-edge acoustic technology with China’s precision manufacturing capability, Swan has released the D1.1, a pair of bookshelf speakers suitable for both professional and entertainment listening.
PRODUCT STORY

At first glance, D1.1 has a classic square cabinet defined by straight lines. With a closer look, the cabinet is constructed with high density wood boards and covered by natural veneer. Boards are treated with beautiful piano lacquer effect. Simple but elegant.

For treble, D1.1 is equipped with Swans’ renowned Q1R tweeter. Q1R is made of a CCAW voice-coil with a diameter of 28mm. This voice-coil consists of a Germany-Made silky soft-dome diaphragm and was strengthened by special coating. A resonator was placed behind the tweeter in order to absorb excess power and isolate diffraction, purifying high frequency. The treble is filled with great transparency and excellent details.
For mid/bass range, the D1.1 adopts Swams’ famous D5.8. Solid aluminum frame, supreme diaphragm, extended-excursion magnetic system, 76mm diagram voice-coil with cooling system, D5.8 was made with no comprise. Comparing other bass drivers, D5.8 reprocduces sound with substantial power.

The D1.1 uses a frequency divider specially designed for this speaker. With non-inductance resistor and Swans’ custom capacitance, sound is precise. The oxygen-free copper enameled wire prevents magnetic saturation, which could cause dynamic compression. Each speaker has two sets of large scale wire terminals with gold plated treatments, therefore the speaker can be connected with amplifier through the traditional way, or the bi-wiring way which enables certain adjustments based on the ratio of treble and bass.
